The Introduction to Seasonal Adjustment course is available on-line, and we are working to get more courses on the web soon.
We can also teach custom courses at your site. We have several different courses based on five basic core modules. Our courses are designed to meet any seasonal adjustment training needs.
You can contact our information desk at "info" at catherinechhood.net.
Many economic and business decisions are based on economic information in the form of time series. When analyzing the time series, it is a very common practice to identify and remove seasonal patterns to make the series easier to interpret. It is important for anyone involved with seasonally adjusted series to recognize and understand the various movements present in time series and to understand the various components of a time series (such as the trend) that are estimated during seasonal adjustment.
One of the benefits of using X-12-ARIMA or X-13ARIMA-SEATS for seasonal adjustment over its predecessors (X-11, X-11-ARIMA, SEATS) is the diagnostics available in X-12/X-13; therefore, many of the courses have discussions of the diagnostics available. X-12-ARIMA, X-13ARIMA-SEATS and TRAMO/SEATS use regARIMA models for preadjustment of some factors and for forecasting, so we also have a regARIMA modeling class available.
The courses target a broad audience: statisticians, economists, analysts, managers, decision/policy makers, or anyone else interested or involved in seasonal adjustment. The content of the courses ranges from basic, non-technical courses to more advanced or specialized courses on seasonal adjustment methods and theory.
We currently have no live seasonal adjustment courses on our schedule. On-line courses are always available. If you are interested in possible future courses, please send an email to our information desk at info at catherinechhood.net and ask to be on the mailing list.

We have five basic core modules (more information on the individual modules available here) that can be combined to form a variety of courses to meet a variety of needs ranging from courses for managers to expert seasonal adjusters. The courses can be combined in several ways. Some examples are given below.
